Yesterday in Chicago, CAEP President Jim Cibulka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA). A primary goal of this MOU is to establish a collaborative relationship with the Sultanate of Oman, where several EPPs have indicated an interest in U.S.-based educator preparation. One such EPP, Sultan Qaboos University, has indicated that it will pursue accreditation this December.
CAEP already signed a similar MOU with the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) last year. CAEP is also workin
g with twelve (12) other international member providers from nine (9) different countries in various stages of legacy or CAEP accreditation.
