CAEP, with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF), has created three free, self-paced modules to help future teachers work with families as active partners in student learning. Developed in partnership with Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs), and national partners–including the National Association for Family, School and Community Engagement (NAFSCE) and the Branch Alliance for Educational Diversity (BranchEd)– the CAEP Family Engagement Course focuses on core strategies for building meaningful family partnerships. Modules include:

  • Foundations of Family Engagement
  • Communication Basics and Strategies for Family Engagement
  • Designing a Family Engagement Plan

The modules can be taken individually or as a full course, offering flexible options to prepare candidates for implementing effective family engagement practices.
