Yesterday in Chicago, CAEP President Jim Cibulka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA). A primary goal of this MOU is to establish a collaborative relationship with the Sultanate of Oman, where several EPPs have indicated an interest in U.S.-based educator preparation. One such EPP, Sultan Qaboos University, has indicated that it will pursue accreditation this December.
CAEP already signed a similar MOU with the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) last year. CAEP is also working with twelve (12) other international member providers from nine (9) different countries in various stages of legacy or CAEP accreditation.
